Bit disappointing ... got this in trade. It was supposed to be Ceropegia sandersonii but the flower makes it most definitely clear that this is not sandersonii. Ah well, such is life.

Paul, that is so unusual! Are those flowers actually open? I think this falls in the "I love it or hate it category!"

Side notes:
The purple and white fringes seen in the second photo, like those in some bulbos and pleuros, move even in a light breeze.

If one clicks on the third photo to expand it, one may make out the fine hairs that line the edge of the openings.

No, John, though he and I did obtain it from the same individual.

Upon doing some research based on a lead someone gave me, it appears that no one seems quite sure as to what it is. For example, I have found it ID'ed as:

Ceropegia cf radicans ssp smithii -- which indicates that this should be "cf"/compared to or consider to possibly be a form or subspecies of C. radicans.

Then in another source, it was noted that many botanists consider flowering plants like this to be a ssp or variety of C. radicans.

Still others believe it to be a naturally occurring hybrid of C. sandersonii x C. radicans as there have been man-made hybrids of these two which strongly resemble the flower my plant has.

Clear as mud, yes?

Uh, yeah, sure.....I have one I got from him, but I haven't seen it bloom. I hope it will be like yours.

When I looked at the photo I thought it didn't look anything like any species I've seen. The hairs are quite distinctive, and not a lot of species have those. Thinking about what's in cultivation, it could be a greenhouse hybrid between C. albisepta and C. sandersonii.
