Mass Ignea X Orquivalle
1 Attachment(s)
I have had a lot of problems with scale and mealy bugs. I think this is due to the relatively low light conditions in my orchid house which means that the cattleyas etc just do not thrive and are always struggling What does seem to be thriving is the Masdevallias that I have put on cork bark so I think I will concentrate on those from now on. Since these do so well can anybody tell me if Dracula's should also do well in these conditions with high humidity and not terribly high light.

Beautiful!

Draculas like pretty much the same conditions as Masdevallias. Probably a little less fertilizer. And grow them in baskets, because most of the time, Dracula spikes grow downward, to the side, or any place they want to go but mostly not upward

Lovely bloom.

Gorgeous! It looks a lot like the species parent, ignea, to me.

Awesome flower. I would agree with what Roberta has written.
