Phalaenopsis Flask vendors?
 

Hi everyone!

I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions of vendors that have some decent phal flasks- USA or abroad. I have already looked at Peter Lin's stocks at Big Leaf Orchids, and HBI, to find 1 flask (phal gigantea from Peter). I am really interested in species, but am open to hybrids as well: I'm trying to get into breeding some of my own phals for a fun, albeit long-term, diversion from school :)

Any other suggestions? Thanks in advance! (BTW, I already have an import permit, so hopefully that shouldn't be an issue).

P.S. Any other suggestions for other intermediate-warm growers (paphs, phrags, etc) are welcome! (I also know of Orchid Inn, Ltd., but have to save up for some of those)

Eric Goo of Phoenix Orchids sells flasks of seedlings. He hybridizes the star-shaped, warmer-temperature summer blooming ones. They may not be show on his Web site, so call.

You may want to check out Marni Turkel. There are a few Phal species flasks currently on the site, and no hybrids. Overall they've a huge list of flasks on offer.

Louisiana Orchid Connection also offers flasks. I didn't look through them at the Redland festival, but the quality of their plants is uniformly superior so I imagine the flasks might be worth recommending. They don't have a list of current flasks on their site, but you can email and ask.

Hope this gives you a few more options for a worthy project.
