SOS PHAL HELP PLS
 

Hello Guys, im a mess, i forgot to take my phals inside last night and when i checked them, the one has a watery soft tissue in certain part of the leaves, i dont know what to do.

My routine is, this is the third day i do this, i put them outside the window in the morning where they get direct morning sun from 6-8 (not hot),i spray them with water in the afternoon(not soggy) then leave them till late afternoon. The temperature here is on 20-23° in the day and goes down at night (not really freezy).


Is it dying? Should i trim those 2 leaves?

The small leaf on the right has less damage than the bigger one leaf in the left.

It's probably cold damage. How cold was it? I would not cut anything now. That would cause more damage. Wait to see what happens. Also do not water them until all the damage is obvious.

Watering Phals in cool weather is tricky. Your day temperatures are acceptable for Phals but not great.

Spraying roots every day is risky, especially in the afternoon. Not many people water Phals in pots this way, not even growers in warm areas.

It would be better to water the pot well, early on the morning of a warm day, and then let the medium become dry before watering again. This will take days to perhaps over a week.

Thanks a lot for helping.

The temp last night went down 14°, and maybe the water didn't evaporated quickly on the inner side of base of the leaf (joint of leaf and crown), unfortunately I remove the leaves because that part is really bad and I know that leaf couldn't make it because the first part of it was died and there's no chance it'll sustain the rest of the leaf and put cinnamon before. I remove it because I was in panic and I hope it gonna get over it.
Do you think I made a mistake?

I think the best way to treat leaf damage is to let it dry and see how much is damaged.

This isn't a reply to your question, but I just wanted to suggest that you include your location (the country at the very least) in your profile, or change the flag. You have the flag of the Philippines, but I remember in an other thread that you said that you live in Italy. Unless people know that, they will assume that you are in a a very different climate than you actually are and it may affect the kind of advice people give you.

Hello Guys, I just want to ask if I could ever put it again in that place in summer? Do you think direct sun from early morning to 9 can burn the leaves? I ask because I don't have the courage to put it back outside the window. Do you think it's 100% cause by cold shock during evening?
Does the sunburn has the same result of freezing?

Many of my phals spend the summer outdoors and get morning sun from roughly 7:00 a.m to 9:30 or 10:00a.m. They do not burn. I too think that cold was your problem, not sun.

Hello, thanks for the reply. Can you please list me the possible symptoms of sunburn so I can rescue quickly? And is the righy month to bring them out?
