first orchid
 

i recently got my first orchid from It's A Jungle in Austin, Texas. i think its a sherry baby but i am not quite sure. some of the leaves look wavy. is this normal or is there a problem with my orchid?

Are the leaves are wavy sort of like an accordian or something? If so it's because as the leaf was growing it wasn't receiving enough water and/or humidity. It's fairly common with those types. It can't be reversed but if you keep providing it with enough water and humidity from now on it probably won't happen with any new leaves. Hope that helps! By the way welcome to the board! :waving
