Neofinetia can be enjoyed for many of its features. An example of that is N Maizuru which retains its older leaves for a long period resulting in it getting quite tall. My plant is young but what really attracted me to this variety is the lattice pattern formed by the wide stem of the plant. |
Gorgeous! I’ve not seen this one before and I agree the lattice pattern is very interesting. Is this one considered a bean leaf and do I see a spike peeping out?
Thank you for feeding the addiction, now I want more! |
Pattywack,
Yes this is a bean leaf Neofinetia. What you see I believe is a new growth but it still is too early to say for sure as it might be a flower spike emerging. I have never bloomed it, only having it about 6 months. |
I can just imagine Jack climbing that.

Very attractive even when not in bloom.
