How to hide my email address?
 

I've looked at every profile option and can't find how to hide my email address that is on top left corner of my message, or change what shows to some handle short name. Can you advise? Thanks, Etana

It seems you choose your email as user name. So, you can't hide it, I think.
I don't know if you can change it at this point (I suspect you can't) without creating a new account.

Yeah. That is pretty much it.

Create new account, with a new user name that is NOT your email.

Never use your current user name on the board again.

You can ask one of the moderators and see if you can delete posts under your current user name. More likely to be possible if you only have very few posts.

No need to create a new account, an admin can change your username. Unfortunately non are active on OB anymore, but I do have contact with one person outside the forum, so I can see if she doesn't mind popping into OB to fix your problem.

Or have you already created a new account?

I finally created a new username I do not want -
Etana.orchid and realized I could use my iCloud.com email, which I NEVER use.

Can you get someone to contact me? And delete ALL the gmail.com account/s? So I can begin again and register anew with that email?

I don't know if you got my reply that I sent through gmail, since that account has an error DID YOU get my email?

Wherever I reset the password, and enter the username and password, I ALWAYS get an error message

Etana, you really should not use any email as you username. There are millions of other words, and non-words, that you could use.

Browse through the members list (link above) and you can see what others are using as their user names. Maybe it will give you some ideas for your own unique user name.

it seems you did not read this thread AT ALL!!

Are you an admin? Can you help delete that account that has my email as username? I cannot log in with it to change it. I cannot delete it.. I cannot reset its password successfully.

I need an admin to delete all accounts associated with that email, I think there may be two even, so that I can register again, using that GMAIL email and a simple user name. So that I can then delete this account that I created with an email I never use, my .mac email.

I need an ADMIN to delete my two GMAIL new accounts!!!!

Getting to work on it right now. I'll do the best I can, but not having active admins is a bit problematic!
