Masdevallia Dragon Gem take 2
Hi all,
I submit pictures of the second bloom for me of this hybrid. This second bloom is much better, having better symmetry and shape. The sepaline tails did not separate but I think that is a good thing. Again this is a hybrid between Masdevallia ignea x Masdevallia ayabacana https://farm5.staticflickr.com/4672/...933ca2fe_k.jpgMasdevallia Dragon Gem by César, on Flickr https://farm5.staticflickr.com/4758/...78af9012_k.jpgMasdevallia Dragon Gem by César, on Flickr https://farm5.staticflickr.com/4749/...5735a71c_k.jpgMasdevallia Dragon Gem by César, on Flickr |
The last picture especially is amazing!

I'm enough of a beginner with orchids that I don't know much about the nuances that go into judging how close a bloom comes to approaching the standards of perfection. I just know what beautiful is to me, and this is a nice example!

:whew:1stplace: and waiting for the migratory birdie fotos!

Thanks all!!! I really hope it's a sequential bloomer.

So nice, I love it.

The blooms are still out,
officially lasting longer than my M. regina. |
Amazingly beautiful. I'm a big fan of that first shot!

Thanks for the comments guys!!

I somehow missed seeing this beauty the first time so I am glad that popped up again to give me another chance. How nice that the blooms last a while so you can continue to enjoy its beauty. Thanks for sharing! :)
