N Kinkabuto (golden helmet) has the so called stripe variegation as opposed to marginal stripe, inner stripe, and chirifu (many fine stripes appearing somewhat “out of focus”). What makes the stripe variegation interesting and preferred by many is that the variegation can vary markedly from leaf to leaf, even on the same growth. The 4 attached photos are all from the same plant, the most prominently shown leaves on the first 3 belong to one growth, and the 4th photo most prominently shows a leaf from another fan on the same plant. On the first picture focus on the topmost leaf. |
