Vanda christensonianum
3 Attachment(s)
I have had this orchid for a couple of years, first time flowering for me although the plant had flowered before. The spike started in November and I was surprised it grew over winter. Typical vanda culture for me, grown bare root in a glass vase in a south facing window, watered twice a week and the roots sprayed a few times a week as well.
The blooms are tiny no more than 7mm across but there are plenty of them. They are semi translucent and have a crystalline appearance which is very nice when the sun shines on them. |
Wow, i'm impressed!

Cute flowers and nice photos, especially the 3rd one.

Flowers, roots, plant all look excellent.

This is a beautiful little orchid and seems to thrive in the vase culture. Your pictures are very nice, love the closeup of the bloom!

The roots are as cool as the bloom.

This is a really reliable bloomer.

When Ascocentrum christensonianum was transferred to Vanda, the name actually changed to Vanda christensoniana (species ending must match genus ending in Latin).
