Off the phone and onto a tablet!
Just got a tablet and it's so nice to have a larger screen and a talk to text that actually says what you want it to! For the longest time I've had my phone as my only computer. I'm loving it!:D

I only use my phone almost exclusively to read...every now and then I write.
I don't own a tablet but I have considered buying one more than once. |

I bought one a couple years ago thinking it would be easier to use at work than my laptop (and lighter). Well, one thing after another and it never worked out. Now my Kindle won't load. I hope you have better success.

Me too... So far so good. This is just a basic Android tablet, because I don't do any work related things on it. Probably the most complicated thing I would do is what I'm doing right at this moment, posting on the OB. Just basic Google searches email texting. Stuff like that.

Be very careful. It is extremely easy to drop a tablet. I might suggest you get a cover made out of something that won't slip out of your hands.
I hate typing without a full-sized physical keyboard. I bought a $50 Android tablet a few years back, to take on the road, instead of a laptop, for reading E-mail. I didn't find it any better for typing than a phone, when compared to a laptop. So I don't use the tablet; I use my phone when traveling. The tablet would be much better than a phone for looking at orchid photos. I miss a lot of detail here on OB when viewing photos on my phone, and I can tell other people do, too. My tablet is wireless only, with no ability to connect to a phone company. I bought it before the days of pseudo-unlimited data plans. Almost all the places I visited have wireless, so this isn't a problem. I might point out that any phone that can connect to a wireless router can connect via wireless to the Internet when traveling out of the data plan service area. You don't need to buy a traveling data plan if the place you stay has wireless connection. Even a phone that will not function as a telephone in another country due to differences in cellular technology will connect to a wireless router. |

I don't know how you guy's do it. I did just get a laptop, the largest screen, but I still like it better when I'm on the much bigger table top. I'm just spoiled. My nephews and niece are always showing me things on there phones and it just doesn't do it for me when it's so small.

This tablet is 10"×7" and after having use my phone for so long as my only computer this is so much nicer.
