Vendors Like Carmelas
 

Greetings all,

I'm looking to make a large acquisition to my orchid collection and stumbled across Carmela Orchids. All the different sales and deals seem amazing. My only question is, does anyone know of other vendors worth looking into for something similar? Just want to shop around and compare a bit.

Carmelas is the only one I know that has all those crazy but great deals. If you are just getting started with collecting orchids, that is a great way to increase your collection. I wish I had known about them when I first started collecting orchids. I have bought a few very nice Cattleyas from them and might do an order in the spring.

Exotic Orchids of Maui is worth exploring. The orchids are cheap, good quality, and it can be difficult to buy enough orchids to get to their $100 minimum. Many of the orchids they sell are seedlings but not all. They don't have the deals but, for the price of most of their orchids, you are pretty much getting a good deal anyway.

ES turned me onto Olympic Orchids. Tiny but inexpensive and a good selection (although not as impressive as Carmela's). The owner is also very attentive and pleasant.
