but how often can I expect Amesiella Monticola to bloom? Lasts bloom was this past November - now blooming again in January.

Lucky you. I really can't answer your question. I figured it would be once a year but yours has proved that wrong.

That is very nice, Samgeo. What's your care regime?

This plant owes me... lol First spike took 5 months to grow out... and blasted one bud, resulting in a single bloom. Maybe it knows it didn't give me a decent show? Honestly though, I have no idea how often they're supposed to bloom, which is why I asked.

Well, if you can call flying by the seat of my pants a regime.... I'm a super newb....

I keep it out of direct sunlight (which in Canada, is currently not a huge task), in a cool spot (again, Canada, so enough said)... with as much humidity as I can muster and usually only water once per week. Oh, and begging... lots of begging.

I don't know if I could be that cruel. 😂 But I saw one recently, and after seeing yours, I may order it.

Here
Blooms in winter and spring.
I haven't find any reference to winter to spring.
OWz mentions records of two plants only, one bloomed in Feb amd the other in Dec.

If you want to read something as tragic and long as War and Peace, look up the thread a few years back when this was the project orchid.

You weren't kidding.... that was a seriously long read... But I'm starting to think that my cool temp + high humidity is the reason mine has done ok. Total dumb luck on my part.
