I clipped this off my sharry baby. Any idea what is wrong?

A good resource here.

I'm not an expert on diseases but it looks some kind of bacterial infection.
Let's see what the others have to say.

That is a leaf tip, right? I lose leaves on my oncidiums all the time, I just clip them or pull them off when they're ready. Based on my experience, it might be old age or hard water but, I wouldn't worry. My plants thrive and bloom and like all of us, don't always look their best.

(Rbarata, my friend, sorry to disagree with you).

Yes it’s the leaf tip. It came to me with the cut at the very end, and was a little brown

The leaf was already on its way out... I have found that when I clip leaf tips because they are damaged/dead/otherwise unattractive, it just licks the can down the road... I clip leaves when I want to display a plant, otherwise usually don't bother because I know I'll just have to do it again... eventually it'll just drop
