It's amazing.
For you miniature twitchers, there are dozens of everything. Bulbos. Brazilian Cattleyas. Trichocentrum carthagense (and 10 other species.) Oberonias. Catt hybrids big, small, in between. Slippers. Sobralias. If you go bring cash. Few vendors take plastic. Beer and food available. |
Did you check out Floralia? When I saw their availability list for the show I nearly packed my bags!
|
Oh my god that looks like heaven. I have been thinking about going to the Redland festival this year. Is it as big as this one? Looks like I might need to plan a Tamiami 2019

This is better than being in love. Well, maybe not quite. It costs less long-term.
I brought an empty suitcase lol. I got a number of things from S American and Asian growers, including Laelia purpuratas from Saõ Paolo and Bulbophyllum beccarianum. Floralia is here, Peruflora, Ecuagenera. |

Most of what I got:
Bulbophyllum medusae Bulbophyllum beccarii - more about this in another post Cattleya amethystoglossa aurea Coelogyne rochussenii Coryanthes misasii Cymbidium chloranthum album Cymbidium sinense (a plain one) Cycnoches barthiorum Gongora odoratissima Grammatophyllum stapeliflorum Sobralia fragrans Sobennikoffia robusta Trichocentrum carthagense I also got a couple of large sun-loving Vanda hybrids. And a Laelia / Schomburgkia undulata to put on a tree at the home of my hosts. |
WOW! Did you buy one of everything?! I’m very jealous, such a huge show and beer! Must be like a kid in a candy store.

Looks like a great time, especially when Kansas is 10 degrees with 20 mph winds.
|
Oh boy, wish I was there. I'd like to have a go at that terra cotta table.
|
That looks amazing, I wish I was there!
