Laelia anceps - will it flower?
 

I bought a division (three p. bulbs) of L. anceps about one and half years ago. It has been growing nicely and currently has 8 p. bulbs.

I am now wondering whether it has reached blooming size or not. The leaves are bright green (except the older leaves which came with the purchase) with some tint of purple on the edges, so I believe the light level is adequate.

Would it bloom next year?

BTW, I was hoping for the first bloom this year, but I guess it is not ready yet.

I can't see enough of the plant to tell.

I have one with 8 pbulbs also and it never bloomed under my care. But I think I didn't gave it enough water and/or light because I had a sheath but it dried out early. So, the plant was planning to bloom but gave it quit.:biggrin:
