Free to good home
I have a fairly large Maxillaria tenufolia that needs a home. I can't give it the sun it needs (there are other plants I like better competing for light) and if I place it low, the cat will find the grassy foliage irresistible. If you pay the shipping, it's yours. Just pm me.

I have a specimen sized Maxillaria tenuifolia now transplanted in a 12 inch hanging basket and I know what you mean.... the flowers smell like coconut pie and its irresistible to pets

Dolly, have you thought of donating it to the Michiana Orchid Society?
|
No Matt. I'm not close to them but I'll ask Wintergirl if the might want it. Thanks.

That's one that's high on my list of orchids I would love to have. I find the scent lovely. Alas, I have space and light limitations that would prevent me from ever having one. How nice of you to offer it on the board! I hope it finds a great home.

Maybe Hector would be interested in having it for his educational jungle?
http://www.orchidboard.com/community...ight=donations I understand how you feel about this plant! I've had my Max ten for nearly 10 years, and it's grown into a massive space hog. Luckily I have tons of south facing windows so sunny real estate is not at a premium at my place. And for now I love it to much to be overly bothered by the space it takes up. (Though I breath a sign of relief in the summer, when I can finally kick it outside!) |
I think.it has found a good home...if it wasn't a pet magnet, it might stay under less than ideal conditions.
---------- Post added at 08:55 AM ---------- Previous post was at 08:46 AM ---------- Those were great suggestions. Thank you. It's found a home. Matt, I'm not as close to Michiana as you might think. I am halfway (appx) between SB and Chicago.; |
