Portable Evaporative Cooler in Greenhouse
I need 1152 CFM in an evaporative cooler based on the calculator! Could I use a portable evap cooler if I place it in front of a 20 inch inlet?

20 x ?.....and your greenhouse is what size?....I bought my 'portable' evap from farmtek.....they have what is called a portable which is a smaller size than what I bought which is described as 'mobile'....as I primarily wanted to cool the outdoor kitchen.....I thought to use that, but as the idea cooked in my 'brain', I decided to just do it and buy one for the gh....I cant imagine NOT HAVING THAT evap in my cook area!! it is HOT in texas, lol.....so I framed for the smallest they had at lowes, it fit like a glove, and keeps it cool in the gh....on sale.....always!
oh, at farmtek, I mainly purchase from their 'steals and deals' section....very good discount, and knock on wood, all good....they warrant EVERYTHING even those discount items.... |
Four wheels on the bottom don't affect what the rest does.
You would just need a water source, airtight seals all around where the cooler blows into the greenhouse, and an appropriate exhaust vent from the greenhouse. Not all portables are built to withstand much ultraviolet light. |
How big is the greenhouse?
What is the ambient humidity? You are not likely to get decent cooling just blowing it in a vent; you want all of the air entering the greenhouse to come through the cooler. |
