Macodes petola problem

I've been having a weird problem with this plant. Back in May, I went on vacation to Singapore and when I returned a month later, my plant caretaker apparently placed the Macodes in a high light position and was doing well. I placed it back into its original spot and a week later, the leaves all drooped down but none of them lost any firmness. Over the course of the past month, one by one, the leaves turned pinkish yellow and died off. The lowest leaf, which is touching the media, seems to be unaffected though. I've seen no signs of rot and there is a tiny bud growing out of the top of the stem. Does anyone else have this problem? I'll post pictures later.

Heat stress?

It does sound like a reaction to light/heat stress (which also can cause lack of moisture stress). Enough to have caused tissue damage but not enough for obvious sunburn.
