Nepehthes rajah x mira
I just received a healthy Nepenthes rajah x mira from Orchids Limited. I have had some success with N. maxima and N. alaia. Anybody have any advice on care differences? I suspect it may be cooler growing.
Hopefully, it should produce large pitchers on a plant that is easier and faster growing than the N. rajah parent. And hopefully it won't require the blood of people named Audrey and Seymour! Couldn't resist that last remark. |
Audrey was the plant!

N. rajah X mira is no more difficult to grow than the average Nepenthes hybrid, which is to say its MUCH easier to grow than N. rajah.
Night temps in the mid to low fifties (Fahrenheit) are ideal, and daytime highs should be limited to about 85F, with lots of ambient humidity. |

The part I really liked in the movie was the Steve Martin crazy dentist song.

I am finally seeing some new growth. It does indeed seem to do best when we get a cool spell, probably due to the mountain habitats of both parents.
