Welcome Bean0016

How do you water it?

Bud 06-30-2017 02:52 PM

Your picture has many leaves, but if as you say that "now no leaves are present"....then the plant is dead. There is no way the plant can manufacture nutrients without the leaves. But the picture you showed us is that of a plant that is still well and alive and not dying at all. To lose all the leaves of the picture in your plant means no watering or feeding it. A plant in that picture to lose all leaves had to be very sick or eaten by bugs ...otherwise it takes almost 6 to 8 months of no water for a plant like that to die.

Can you post a pic of it as it is today? Don't feel bad, we have all killed one.. or a few.. or many:blushing:
It happens! All part of learning, so don't give up. If it's truely leafless, it's probably dead and time for a new one. This sticky post The Phal abuse ends here. is great for figuring out how to grow your next Phalaenopsis orchid

Did you mean to say "all the flowers are gone?" Because they are but the plant looks great. They won't be in flower all the time (there are exceptions).

The plants look great, it might flower again from the same flower spikes, so do not cut them, unless they are brown.

Hi, Breena, and welcome! I have to agree with the others who have already posted that having a current picture would be helpful. Unless you meant to say all the flowers are gone, not all the leaves. Losing flowers is very normal, and with the right care and conditions, it will bloom again someday.

Is anybody else noticing that there appears to be (at least) two separate plants in that pot?

Dollythehun 06-30-2017 04:34 PM

I looked at that too. But I thought one might be setting behind the other.

Oh my did I really type leaves? I definitely meant flowers.
This is our first orchid at the vet clinic I work at. Its located at the front of the desk. Somewhat dark in the waiting room. Myself and another staff water it every 7-10 days.
It looked absolutely beautiful 2 months ago. Trying to keep it alive.

When taking a picture today I saw a tiny amount of white stuff on a leaf.
Attached are some pics from today.
