Orchid Board - Most Complete Orchid Forum on the web ! - will milt spike be affected by repot?

I check my Milt Hajime Ono 'Black Falls' every single day, like twice a day, to see if there are any changes. I am always paranoid that something will grow wrong, and kill it. It's an absolutely gorgeous, nice sized plant, that I purchased from Ivan Komoda. So I kept worrying because the roots were coming out of the bottom of the pot, and they felt squishy, so i assumed there was some root rot going on. On a recent trip to Al's greenhouse, I saw his Milts, and spoke with him about how he has them all potted in LECA, with regular bottom drain pots. I have most of my other orchids potted in 100% Aliflor, and for some reason didn't think a Milt would do well in that media. So I asked him how he likes potting them in LECA, and voiced my concern about a Milt not doing as well in that. He advised that he's found that his do much better in LECA rather than any bark mix he's used. So, when I suspected root rot, I went ahead and pulled my Milt out of it's pot. There were some rotted roots, along with a CENTIPEDE in there. So I began taking the bark media away from the rest of the roots that I couldn't see. And then repotted in 100% Aliflor..when I repotted, probably about a week ago, because of root rot fear, there was no flower spike that was visible. This morning I just went and checked on all the orchids to see if anyone has any changes today, and through a leaf with the bright light shining, I see a little dark spot, I touched it and it feels like there is a small spike. So, with the recent repot, do you think that will affect the flower spike? This pot is not as tight as the other one it was in. I now have it in a clear slotted pot, rather than a black square pot. I feel that with the slotted pot, more air gets through to the roots. I water every 2-3 days, since the larger aliflor seems to dry out semi-quickly. Any advice is greatly appreciated.
