I have never seen this before. A tiny cutie! Gitbutvtodsy at Hauserman's.

What a cutie! Didn't know they could flower that small. Katrina grows a really nice one of these. You can probably look it up to see how she grows it.

I can tell you right now, it is a spider mite magnet, so pay close attention. A little plant like this can be snuffed out in no time by spider mites.

I saw quite a few of them at SF POGE this past weekend. I saw few last year, too. They weren't noticed prior to that but I might have just missed them?:_(

I think plant popularity go in cycles. I'm thinking Pleione are on the ascendence. I think I saw less Paph/Phrag/Cyps this year but they're not my thing so I could be wrong.

That's a real sweetie, Carol!

Oh, they get spindly tall. Since I'm very short and the plants were on tables, guessing a couple or more might have been a yard/meter tall.

Good to know. Mounting on grapevine, probably will stay inside.

Yes, I saw that and that's why I decided to mount. That and John got me started.😁

Truer words have never appeared in this forum. With the whole Oerstedella clan, low humidity and warm conditions and every spider mite in 3 counties will stampede to your location. Makes the wildebeest migration look like an afternoon stroll.

Dollythehun 02-28-2017 04:08 PM

Okay. I get it. I'm mounting it and I'll put it on a regular spray regime. I must say, your description is interesting.
