Blc. Butterburr x. L. anceps
Got this last summer from Paradise Orchids.
My grandfather got me started in orchids, though he wasn't into plants himself. He was a huge fan of Raymond Burr's, so when I saw this plant that was of Mr. Burr's breeding (1 parent) I wanted it sort of to honor him. This bloom opened a couple days ago; no fragrance I've detected, about 4 1/2", and ever so slightly more of a pink blush than this picture looks on my monitor. I'd have a hard time describing the color; sort of an off white with a faint yellow blush- not as yellow as the photo looks to me- and an ever fainter pink one, with sparkle texture. Substance is decent. We'll see how long it lasts. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...psqtg3oz5f.jpg |
