Longwood Gardens Orchid Extravaganza
 

While visiting family in Philadelphia this weekend, I decided to visit the orchid extravaganza at Longwood Gardens. It was beautiful!

Is that a Dendrobium in the 2nd pic? That plant is gorgeous, purple blue hue outrageous!

It was better when their extravaganza coincided with the SEPOS show. Great displays, knowledgeable society member to lead tours, good vendors...

Then Longwood got greedy.... A society member picked up some coffee for the vendors at a Dunkin' Donuts, and they wouldn't let it in. They were willing to let them buy it from them for $1250, though...

Wow Ray, I did not know that about Longwood and SEPOS. Too bad!

I've never been to Longwood before but might go this year to see the extravaganza. I read that last year they were selling some of the orchids at the end of the exhibit, anyone get a chance to go and see what they were selling and at what price point?

We went for it many years ago. I took several rolls of pictures (film). Took them into to get them developed and when they came back they were someones's pictures of a classic car show. Big bummer!
