I like the foliage as well. I like plants that look pretty when in bloom or not. I don't know how long :scratchhead: it will be in bud but when it blooms I will send :photo:

Hope to talk to you again :)

Everyone, let me know if this is correct or not. . .but I read last night that the growth that has the bud this time. . .will not bloom again. What do they mean? NEVER again?

And that the second growth is where the new bud will emerge.

So, the new growth is not really another plant that you want to divide and split with your buddies.

The article suggested that when picking out a Paph to purchase, you want to look for one that has a bud and that also has new growth filling in behind it.

Gwen you are correct. Paphs are sympodial, so will bloom like catts and some dens. Once a new growth has matured and flowered it's done. The plant will rebloom on it's new growth. I have one that has multiple new growths. I think once you have multiple growths going you could then divide as long as you have a new growth in each pot. Does that make sense? :scratchhead:

Sherry your paph is a beauty. It's so big too! I can't wait to see pictures in bloom! My Paph. delenatii finally opened today. It's gorgeous! I'll try and get a pic posted this weekend. The color is unreal!

Well I'm hardly an expert on Paphs or any other chids for that matter! :blushing: My experience is 1 Paph I've had for a year. As soon as I saw it's little bud peeking out I knew there would be more....and now there are! Just sharing what others here have been so generous in sharing with me. :D
