Rhyncholaelia digbyana
The bloom is very fragrant. The plant likes a lot of sunlight. I grows it high without much shade.

This is, indeed, one of my favorite orchids! Though my conditions are best suited for Phalaenopsis, I've always kept a R. digbyana hanging in above them. Admittedly, it's about 50-50 whether or not I get blooms since the light is a bit low, but when I do it's always a flower to celebrate! Congratulations on yours.

Lovely flower of a fantastic species. Yes, they do like a lot of sunlight. Even on the hottest days of our summers, it never stops impressing me with how much heat and light it's able to take, especially on those blistering days when I have a terrible feeling (misplaced) that I'm going to come home to a sunburnt or dead plant. Congratulations on your flower. It's a beauty.
