Phal. (equestris fma. alba x bellina fma. alba)

This was purchased from Louisiana Orchid Connection in May 2016, with a spike. As of Aug 2016 it has been in bloom for 3 weeks plus, no signs of either bloom fading, plus a new bud looking promising.

This has a lovely subtle sweet fragrance.

Note that this lovely pink confection is a cross of two albas! I find the form more pleasing than equestris (Sorry - don't hurt me!).

That is quite lovely!

This popped out past couple days. Looks like a double bloom or something.

What a nice cross! I really like the result. The mutation is rather cool, too! :)

That looks like a cross between a sunflower and orchid, it's so cool!

Funny Phal

Thanks! I have a couple of peloric Phals, and this reminds me of them. It's not quite there yet according to Wikipedia (under "Floral Symmetry"):
Quote:

Most flowers are actinomorphic ("star shaped", "radial"), meaning they can be divided into 3 or more identical sectors which are related to each other by rotation about the centre of the flower. ...Zygomorphic ("yoke shaped", "bilateral" - from the Greek ζυγόν, zygon, yoke, and μορφή, morphe, shape) flowers can be divided by only a single plane into two mirror-image halves...Peloria or a peloric flower refers to an aberration in which a plant that normally produces zygomorphic flowers produces actinomorphic flowers instead
Here's a photo of my Phal. Joy Fairy Tale "Joy", a true peloric, also currently in bloom and also sweet smelling
