phalaenopsis hieroglyphica with black spots
 

Hi everyone ! Just got this phal and the black spots on the new leaf are worrying me. Seem to develop a discoloration around spot on the leaf, not spreading that much...

I always dry out leaves after watering, have good ventilation. Have treated spots with peroxyde and cinnamon powder.

Any suggestions ?

I don't know what it could be. I would just keep it from the other plants and wait and see what happens. Where did you get it?

I got it from a vendor in Canada and he has been fully cooperative in wanting to sort this out. He is ready to take it back for refund, however I want to try and pull the phal through as it is difficult to find this species in this country... and I have been searching for so long! I have effectively quarantined it and will watch it very carefully...

Looks like insect damage with bacteria following up.
