Cattleya labiata var coerulea
This is a first bloom seedling that I got early last year from Peter T. Lin of Diamond Orchids. It is a sibling cross of (labiata coerulea 'SVO A+') x (labiata coerulea 'T.J.). Blooming earlier than fall, the lilac blue flower is huge at 14 cm NS. With a sweet fragrance, the shape is quite round and flat. Potential for even better flowers in future. Only drawback is the small lip that notches. Hopefully that is a one time thing.

I fertilize them quite well, rotating MSU and kelp. So they get enough calcium ... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
