Blc. Empress Worsley 'Roman Holliday' mounted to tree
 

Mounted this to Mimosa tree about 4 years ago, flowers every year. There are over 50 different types of orchids attached to this tree in my front yard in Los Angeles, Ca.

I fell in love with this orchid the first time I saw it. Yours is stunning and I am only a little jealous of the fact you can mount orchids in your yard :D

Do you just water by hosing it down ?
And how cold does it get in your area?

It does get cold here, there has been times in the 20's, I've seen my outdoor orchids get snow and ice on them but no damage to plant or flower spikes. The tree has a drip mister watering system on it, the line is tied into the line that waters entire front yard, watering is automatic, comes on for 5 minutes two times a day, 3 days a week.

There are over 40 different orchids on tree, Brassavola, lealias, carts, epi. Enc. Schumbos and others.

Tree goes dormant in winter loses all leaves so all plants are in full sun from Nov. Till late April.

Is that a Jacaranda?
