Cattleya labiata var rubra 'Ching Hua #1' SM/TOGA
I was surprised when I came back from holidays to see this one in bloom in the middle of summer. Labiatas usually bloom in early fall but this one seem to have missed the memo lol. At 13.5 cm it is respectable in size and shape. The color is also quite dark.

Yes very much so. I remember one plant that never bloomed and I told my best friend and there and then he saw a green spike lol

I'm loving that color!

Thanks all. Very classic dark lavender that started the orchid craze in the 1800's. I can see why!
