Dracula vampira flower spike?

1 Attachment(s)
Sorry this will be a silly question, but this is my very first dracula and so I am just getting familiar with it.

As I was watering it this morning I noticed something larger and greener than what the "typical" roots looks (i.e. the roots that I can see from this exact plant).

If you look at the picture on the right-hand side, you will see the green thing-y in question.

Is it a flower spike?

I wish I could help but I don't have these. I'm not sure but it doesn't look like a root to me so it just well could be. I'm sure someone with more experience will come along.

I believe these typically throw out flowers from beneath and this appears to want to go up like a leaf.Maybe it will change direction? The experts will give you a more intelligent answer.Keep posting!

I think the spike comes out thinner at least that is how mine spike looks on my Dracula bella.
