Problem w/ Maxillaria uncata?

Hello, I was wondering if anyone out here has experience with Max. uncata? I have 2 seedlings I bought a couple years ago and they seem to be doing alright but they aren't growing much :( .

Their in a terrarium with pretty high humidity and bright light, their mounted, and watered/ fertilized on a regular basis. I have noticed they are producing new leaves, but very slowly. Being seedlings I would expect them to be growing rapidly, they aren't wrinkly or anything. They just don't seem to grow much. If anyone could help I would  REALLY  appreciate it...

thanks :bowing

Can't help with this spp. but I do have a Max. variabilis in a wardian case, high humidity, small pot, out of direct blast from the misters, very bright light - but subject to 90+ degrees humidity. Mine took over a year to accustom itself to this environment and this year has grown with 12-15 new spikes (it only started with 6-7 growths!) So my best guess is patience!

Huh, they must just be sensitive, I hope thats whats going on. I suppose patience is the key (to bad it takes so long). Thanks for the input:biggrin:

Not really 'sensitive' but it often takes certain minis a while to get accustomed to a new environment.

Ross - do you mean sensitive but in a hardy way? :hmm

No, I mean they often take a bit of getting used to their new environment (they 'sulk' a bit). Hope this helps. I've found most of my minis (Angraecoids) are way more hardy than just about any other orchid, but they do like to sulk when first placed in the tank.

 That's the word .. sulk
