Cold Damage / Cell Collapse?
 

Yesterday I sprayed two Phals with an alcohol/soap/water mixture in order to kill some aphids. This morning, some of the leaves on one of the phals look like they didn't take it too well. I'm thinking the evaporation of the alcohol caused localized cooling and resulted in some cold damage - does that seem correct? To be clear, this textured appearance literally showed up overnight. They were not actually exposed to cold air.

EDIT: looks like I still can't post a picture - not sure I understand this rule, new members are probably here because they want to share pictures of their collection, or ask for help with a problem that a picture would be super useful for.

The leaves look textured/pitted. Like a gritty sandy texture.

Rubbing alcohol applied in windy conditions can cause super cooling - I would think that the addition of soap and water would most likely prevent that from happening. Was the foliage left wet in lower temps? Or wet in hot sun?

Hmm, wet leaves in the sun is a possibility. We sprayed them and left them outside for a few hours. It was a cloudy day but they still probably got more sun then they are used to. The clouds may have parted for a few minutes that I didn't notice.

Hmm ... Wet leaves in hot sun would most likely get burned, which this doesn't appear to be.
I suppose the evaporation of the alcohol could have dehydrated that area, but I've never had that happen myself, and I often use both straight 70% rubbing alcohol and soapy water + alcohol.
