Laelia milleri
I have collected a few rupicolous Laelias in the past years. Here is the blooming Laelia milleri. I love its orange-red flowers very much.

You've done a fabulous job of growing it into a specimen and it's gorgeous. I don't know that I've ever seen one w/so many spikes. Well done!!

Usually I water the plant daily in summer and not more than twice a week in winter. The frequency of watering may vary due to change of weather conditions. I give the plant a winter rest for a period of about one week. As this species requires a good air movement, I would use an electric fan to help once the movement is weak. Besides when the temperature is over 30 degree Celsius I would wet the floor of the growing area and place a number of water buckets where appropriate. I hope the above may help. ---------- Post added at 11:50 AM ---------- Previous post was at 11:48 AM ---------- Thanks all! |
