Dendrobriums, Anthuriums, Alocasias
 

I have a Dendrobrium orchid which is growing extremely well. I have a greenhouse window in my kitchen and it is grew so well - I had to split it into two plants. Both are doing well.

However, I also have an anthurium and an alocasia which are not doing well in the same location - I have moved them to a more indirect light source and they are still not doing well!! Any ideas?

How bright is the light and what direction does your greenhouse window face? Anthuriums don't like really high light. Alocasias are a challenge to keep going indoors over the winter - they tend to get spider mites or rot, even for experienced growers.

My anthuriums will take very early morning sunlight after that they are back'd away in shade, or underlights with the orchids. They're potted in an open mix - 50 peatmoss, 25% bark and 25% small perlite. They are kept moist.
If their getting to much light, they will turn lime green to yellow in color.
