Hello from North Sulawesi / Indonesia
 

Hello everyone,
i am a new member and live and work in a resort in North Sulawesi. I always loved gardening and so i started taking care of some orchids that were mounted on trees here in the resort. After seeing first results (had some nice multi spiked blooms so far) i bought more orchids. I am mainly interested in learning more about orchids as well as help with ID of some of the plants ... i want to put name tags on them for our guests to read.

So far i have mainly Dendrobiums, Phaaeonopsis, some Vandas and a big Oncidium ... plus some others i am not sure of ...

If you are on Facebood, you should look up Michael Aaorchids (Michael Ooi of Ooi Leng Sun Orchids). He has been planting at Gunung Jerai Botanical Park, Malaysia.

i live at sea level though and don't get the temperature drop at night or the natural misting of the clouds in the highland. But with a bit of misting it seems to work quite well ;)
