Where to buy leafless orchids?

I've become very interested in leafless orchids and I'm confident I can grow them in my environment. My problem is that I can't find any for sale! Can anyone give me information on where to buy some?

Look at species sellers. I've gotten some Chiloschistas from aaorchids, and Pharo for sure. I'd check andy's (got some other leaf-less from him). You may have better luck contacting species vendors before a show and ask & pre-order. Many vendors do not have all species on the website/list, so asking is always a good idea with specialty items.

Also are any of the Chiloschistas easier to grow than others?

I think I had fewer losses with Chiloschistas than most other orchids; I like the very obscure stuff, specialize in Oberonia which are extremely twitchy in my opinion. I grow C. viridiflava, extinctiformis, exuperei, sweetleemii. They are all pretty slow growers. Some grow intermediate some rather warm, so choose the species that fit your growing parameters. All are mounted and in high humidity environments (60-80% RH), sprayed daily in summer, about every other day in winter with RO water. Peter Lin of Diamond Orchids is into them, so he may have some as well.

Oo Leng Sun Orchids (olso-ben on EBay) listed several species of Chilochista last time I looked.

Andy's sells a Phalaenopsis leaflesswonderi. I like the name.

Andy's has quite a few leafless orchids, if not completely leafless ones... there are a lot of obscure genera to look at...

i've always loved them...

chiloschista's generally are the easiest, the rest can be a tad bit challenging... not sure how you're growing them, but I find they need fairly high humidity, regular watering, and medium light- not too high, not too low...

this is one I grew years ago
