Cattleya lueddemaniana var pincelada
This is my most treasured lueddemaniana! It is the aquinii form of the species, showing flarings on all segments, creating a five point star look. Although originally labeled as pincelada, it looks like the markings are larger than that and can be safely refer to as flamea. The original plant came from a legendary collection in California.
With a fantastic shape, flamea markings and deep color, it is so exquisite and beautiful in my eyes! http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016...0edba93650.jpg http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016...cd1b968017.jpg http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016...72e377f629.jpg http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016...bef17e0324.jpg http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016...c7da70a1df.jpg It's still expanding since it opened only 3 days ago. The colors may deepen and the size may increase slightly. Will update pics later. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

That is simply exquisite. Beautiful photos that really capture the details and shape of the flower.

Thanks KL!
There's a second bud too but it's stalling and remain small. I don't think it's going to develop ... but if it does, I'll get a second flower a couple weeks later, extending the blooming period. That will be a bonus! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
