First bloom on this plant since I got it from Andy a couple months ago, so this bloom is his handiwork, not mine.:

great species, eventually I'll get one as it's from what I know of is the smallest stanhopea species...

how have you started growing it? My hope is maybe it can do well without humidity higher than 50% all the time...

Care has been very straightforward. It's in LFS in a 4" basket. Media is kept constantly moist. Pretty much Phalaenopsis conditions in terms of temp and lighting. It's in an open top terrarium. Humidity ranges from around 30% up to 99% when the fogger is running. I try to keep it above 60% but my humidification is completely manually controlled.

I would have trouble maintaining high humidity on a constant basis but I can certainly do that lower end. LOL! I think I just might have to give it a try. Thanks for the culture info and for sharing this little beauty.
