Bloom spike died Pleurothallis segoviensis

My Pleurothallis segoviensis was doing well putting on bloom spikes and some other new growth. Today I noticed that the first spike, there are 3 more that have started, has died. The others appear fine. The only condition changes are that we have had some sudden, very hot weather.
