Catt with red roots...

Hello, my friends
No photos this time... Is it normal for a Catt to have the tips of the roots in red?

Thanks

It is normal for certain species and hybrids of those species. Root tip color can give you a rough estimate of flower color. What plant are you asking about?

Very interest to know as well since I will be purchasing that Catt in the very immediate future!!!

I don't know! It's some kind of hybrid, I bought it in a big store, cheap, as an experiment to see if I could grow Catts under my conditions.
I'm talking about new roots. Since they are facing the light source, I was worried about too much light on them.

The red roots are simply an expression of the different pigments in the plant. :)

Ok, just want to be sure that it's not root burn.:D

Yes I have one that they are like this and the leaves have allot of red spotting on them as well. It is a pink with a magenta lip. Most of my others don't color like this, I myself like it.

As I said in another thread, this is pink or red. I never saw the flower. It also has a red pigmentation in the leaves. But the roots are now really red.
Can I use this as a light level indicator as in the leaves, maybe a faster one?

Probably not. I think the roots tips would probably be red no matter what.

And the goal for my Catt leaves is to be as red as possible because it means they are getting excellent light and I'll be rewarded with great blooms!
