Hello from Florida!
Hi,
I'm very new to this forum and I figured I'd say hi to everyone. My name is Cyrus and I'm a highschooler from sunny Florida, I mainly grow carnivorous plants but orchids are runner up for favorite plants. I absolutely love Bulbophyllum orchids and I plan on majorly expanding my collection of them, I did recently invest in a walk in greenhouse that I use for highland Nepenthes so I plan on trying my hand at dracula orchids...This shall be quite a adventure! |
Welcome! The expert on Bulbophyllums is Bill Thoms who wrote a book on them and has won many awards. He lives near Tampa, FL.

:waving Love your enthusiasm and welcome. Just do your homework on which orchids will be happy in your environment or an appropriate "home" that you can grow them in.Draculas may not be where to begin in Fl. and there are so many others that will be much more tolerant of the conditions. But good luck with your choices and enjoy the fun and learning experience!

That is very convienient to know, thank you!

Thank you for all the warm welcomes, I do have a highland greenhouse so the days stay in the mid 70's and the nights will drop to mid 60's. Unless draculas need it even cooler, if so I will continue searching for a better cooling system.

Welcome! We have a forum for photos of non-orchid plants as well, like your Nepenthes. In the left menu click on Forums, then at the very bottom Off Topic - Totally.
