Phal root gone wild
 

My phal hasn't started budding yet, but the root are going crazy, and one in particular (see photo)

When the roots are still small, you can sometimes direct them back into the pot. In any case, it is often a sign of good health to have roots like that. Good work!

mine do that all the time..

I have one like that too. It looks ridiculous and I love it. It's in a 3 inch pot and has foot-long root stretching way the heck out.
