Go to the Web site of the Pacific Bulb Society. They have very exacting requirements but grow vigorously if you provide those.

Not one of the easiest plant indeed. I'm looking for seeds but the only ones I found are from Brazil. and Here it's winter. Don't know if they'll survive the travel :\

They're large plants and they're cloud forest lithophytes. Do you have conditions to grow cold to cool orchids?

I have been growing Worsleya's for about 20 years with success in Southern Australia which has a dry Mediteranian type climate. They like near full sun and perfect drainage. I grow mine in pure scoria rock pebbles 20-30mm in size. I water infrequently outside the hot summer months and add pellet fertiliser twice a year. Basically they are tough low maintenance plants if the drainage is right and are relatively pest free. Their biggest enemy is mealy bugs. They can kill a plant quickly. I am always on the lookout for them.
The flowers last only about a week but have a beautiful shimmer to them in the sunlight. The sickle shape leaves dance gracefully in the wind and have a lovely structural appearance.

i got a hold of more seeds, only one survived the mailing intact - but its growing away. this pic is from early march and its about 2 in long now. seems to be happy. i have it in hydroton with some moss to hold humidity close to it. sounds like i will need to move it out of the terrarium in a bit so that it doesn't overheat.

Ok, so I just typed in the genus name on google and the first thing I see are beautiful blue blooms. I really don't have room for another plant hobby!!!!!! :faint:
