Oncidium Sharry Baby 'Sweet fragrance'? Not quite...
2 Attachment(s)
Hey,
I had ordered this plant tagged as Oncidium Sharry Baby 'Sweet Fragrance'. It finally bloomed for me but looking at the flowers, it doesn't quite seem like the Sweet fragrance. It has a very mild chocolaty-vanilla fragrance (noticeable only if I stick my nose in the flower). It seems to be a hybrid, but I am not sure. Could anyone please help me figure out the exact ID of the plant? ( Please find the images attached) Thanks in advance. Hansu |
It could very well be Sharry baby, but likely not the 'Sweet Fragrance' cultivar.

If i'm not mistaken, there is a yellow, a pink and a white lip variety. But, i'll leave it to the orchid experts. Anyway, that's beautiful :-)

My Sharry Baby has a chocolate vanilla smell. Makes me want to eat a Hershey bar. :)

That looks like a Sharry Baby to me. Different cultivars may look slightly different from one another. As to the fragrance, it will get stronger as the flowers age a bit more, and then you'll smell it from a distance! :)

What a pretty flower! :)

A long time ago I had a couple of these and mine were given to me by my friend that was a florist. They were this color and also had tags that said Sharry baby so I'd say they are.
