Help with Den. ID

I'm sure this is quite a common type of Dendrobium though I've only kept nobilis types before.

Sorry for the awful photo. Culture tips would be appreciated too, does it need a winter rest?

Thanks all :)

It looks like a Aussie den, like a kingianum. As far as I know they do need a cool dry rest. I only got one in Jan. so I do not have much personal experience with these dens.

It does resemble kingianum, but I think it may be a hybrid (I can't be certain from the pic) - Den Berry, perhaps?

Kingianum needs some cooler temps to initiate spikes, but I water and fertilize mine year-round, tho water is reduced somewhat.

If it's a hybrid it may not require cool temps to bloom. I found a care sheet for Berry here Dendrobium Berry Oda Care Sheet - Orchid Nature

Temperature: 50º F (10º C) to 85º F (30º C)

This orchid is tolerant to a wide range of temperatures for short periods of time, but prefers a maximum temperature of about 82º F (28º C) in its growth period. In the winter time though, it requires a drop in temperature in order to rebloom, even if not quite as dramatic as its parent, the Dendrobium Kingianum. Keep away from freezing conditions though, and start to increase temperatures as the flower spikes start to grow.

Water: Keep evenly moist and reduce watering in the winter time

In the growing seasons, usually summer and fall, water abundantly and keep evenly moist for good growth. Perfect drainage is a must! As the temperatures drop and growths are mature, reduce watering and resume watering after the flower spikes start to develop. Use a coarse medium that provides very good drainage and air flow around the roots.

Thanks for the info . Its currently sitting in a dense moist media, I'll put it in a medium bark with sphagnum once it has finished flowering ☺
