Tiny Loose Leaves at Stem Base of Small Phalaenopsis
Hi all! One of my favorite small phals lost a large leaf at the very base of the stem after it turned yellow and fell off. There are two new leaves above where that one was, and they look green and healthy, but they are not attached well at all. I keep babying it, hoping I won't lose them too. Has anyone had this experience?

How do the roots look?
|
And can you post a picture? That would help allot.

Here are photos of both sides of the plant. My first time posting photos on this site; hopefully, you can open them. The yellow at the base is where a large yellow leaf came off.

I added the photo to your post
Have you checked the roots? How often do you water? |
I have repotted it and cannot see the roots right now. It is a mini phal, I believe. I water about every 4-5 days right now in this heat. (It is inside.)
|
is it planted in pure sphagnum moss? If it is, along with your current watering schedule, it could be too wet. The roots could be rotted. Take it out and check the roots.
|
Were the roots good when you re-potted it? It could be just that the leaf was ready to go.
