Ray's roots.

After using Ray's low K fertiliser at very low doses, I have noticed some real improvement in roots, so much so that some are developing personalities.

I call this the 'peekaboo'.

This is the 'Medusa'

and this is 'reach for the sky'. This poor root simply couldn't get thru the solid medusa like mat that surrounds the stem. There isn't enough space to slide a piece of paper between the roots.

Sadly, in trying to find a bit of the pot to call his own, he took a wrong turning and went upwards. He is currently 4 inches up the stem and rising.

Kidding aside, I have been delighted with the changes in roots using this, and I can't recommend Ray's fertiliser highly enough!

You sure it's not KelpMax doing that?

Well, I haven't been using that very much recently, especially on the phals. I started using itt a bit, but with postage, it is pretty dear, and so I left off using it for a while saving it for any damaged ones.

Lol, love the medusa, that is an amazing mass of roots. I have also seen an explosion of root growth in my orchids since switching to the K Lite and KelpMax.

I'm wondering what it's going to be like when I repot. After a year on normal fertiliser, when I repotted it, it needed to be steadied, because the roots weren't big enough to hold it steady in the new pot. Already there must be a 4-5 inch radius circle of roots round the plant!
